I LOVE this book! That really sums it up. I love the manners, the language, the clothing and the time period. I love how a gentleman would stand every time a lady would enter the room. I love how a ball was the advent of the month and how you would ride in a carriage instead of a Honda. It was such a simpler time. But I'm rambling now, so I guess I should talk about the book now. That's what this is about, right? lol

The story is about Elizathen Bennet and her four sisters, her mother, her father and two gentleman who will change there lives forever. Mr. Bingly, a handsome young gentleman, comes to live in the country near the Bennet family. Soon he falls in love with Jane Bennet, the oldest and most prettiest of all the sisters. But his friend, Mr. Darcy, may put a end to that. For Mr. Darcy seems a cold, proud man who looks down at everyone, especially Elizabeth. But despite social differences and fortune, they find themselves in a place that neither one thought could be possible. (This is a romance, so it's kind of obvious. lol) It is such a pleasure to read, I love it when I have nothing to do and I grab my copy and go snuggle up in a chair and start to read. It's almost magical. There are also two movies of P&P that I love as well. There is one from 1995 with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle and one from 2005 with Matthew MacFadyen and Keira Knightley. Artemis Fowl and Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident By: Eoin Colfer

Well recently I had a long road trip and wanted to read something along to way, but unfortunately I am one that can't read very much in that kind of setting. So, I picked up two Audio books from the library. Several friends had already recommended the Artemis Fowl series to me, but I had never gotten around to actually reading them. Now I've listened to the first two and can't wait to go back to the library to either check out the third in audio form or snatch the book up.
If you enjoy fantasy, then please read these if you haven't already. *said with a hint of an Irish accent*
I don't want to say much about these, because that would be considered giving the whole story away, but I will say this: Fantasy books with a genius twist and layered with at least a hint of sarcasm! :) Enjoy!

This book as the name implies is about the main character Arthur, he lives with his "father" and "mother" Sir John, Lady Helen, and the other family members,Sian, Nian, and Serle on their manor.This book, being the first, is about secrets revealed and Arthur starting to realize that he has a quest as the images in the seeing stone are revealed. Set in the times of the crusades, and the pope issuing indulgences for whoever took up the cross to fight for the holy land... what will happen? You'll have to read to find out...

Once a month book review: The Library Elf

Hello everyone! It’s been a long time, no? Here is my contribution to the once a month book review. It is a series of book that I am working on reading. I hope you enjoy!

I am reading right now a Christian fantasy book series. The books I am reading are called The Binding of the Blade and are written by L.B. Graham. There are some wonderful books out there in this category, like the Door Within and the Dragonkeeper which I wrote about in a previous post.

The story takes place in a land called Kirthanin (KEER-than-in) which in like a big island. (PDF) At the beginning of the First Age it was a peaceful land where Men, Dragons and Great Bear lived in harmony. The creator of all thing was Allfather who cave the government of day-to-day life to the Titans. He blessed them with incredible strength and power to help with this task. No Titan was greater than the other though all possessed there own strength and talent. But one of the greatest of them was Malek (MAH-leck) he started to become selfish and greedy until he lusted for Allfathers throne and to rule all of Kirthanin. So he planed a rebellion and killed all his brother Titans. He also tricked a man to help him conquer all of Kirthanin. He made the man weapons, which where never used to harm a living creature before. The Holy mountain Agia Muldonai (ah-GEE-uh MUL-doe-nye), where the Titans lived, was stained with blood and man had fallen into sin. Malek was wounded, but not destroyed, so he went into hiding. Allfather declared the Holy Mountain defiled and forbid any creature to set foot on the Moutain again, the Great Bear separated themselves from man as well as the dragons. During the Second Age Malek tried to take over again, but failed. Now the books begin during the Third Age with a man named Joraiem Andira (jore-EYE-em an-DEER-uh) who travels to the Summerland to learn to fight and be educated. But Malek is stirring and darkness is coming. Will Malek succeed with his third rebellion? Will Allfather forsake his people? Or will a prophet boy bring about a prophesy declared after the first rebellion? Find out!

I love this series it is very much like Lord of the Rings. The names, the storyline and creatures are all very similar. There are lots of twists and turns in the plot. I cried when I read the first book cuz one of the best characters died. I won’t say who, you have to find out for yourself. ;)

The characters are wonderfully done and I can relate to a lot of them. They all have fears, weaknesses, hopes and dreams that I think we all can relate to. There are five books.

I am working on book four right now. I can’t wait to see what happens, it’s very exciting! If you like LOTR then I think you will like these books. You won’t be able to put them down! lol

Girl In Blue by: Ann Rinaldi

A book set in civil war times, about a girl who disguises herself as a guy in order to enlist. I really enjoyed this book, it is of course about much more than just that simple sentence above. There is a little "romance" thrown in, as long as you don't try to predict books when you read them, then this one definitely has some surprises through its pages. It is a pretty easy read, but still its a good historical fiction. If you do read it, which I recommend, please read the Authors note at the end it's really interesting. But, I can't tell you to much, otherwise you wouldn't have any reason to read it. So, I'm just gonna leave the rest a mystery and up to you if you want to find it out.

The Dragonback Series

Here finally I am writing a review from books that I read forever ago. So, sadly I cannot tell you much about them, except that they are sci-fi. But, I do remember really enjoying them. In that case, if you are into Sci-Fi books, and like dragons (although this book series isn't the typical dragon-type books that you would think) then I would tell you personally: "READ THESE BOOKS!! YOU HAVE TO READ THESE BOOKS!!!" Seriously though, I really enjoyed this series and would recommend it to any one who enjoys those same kind of books... And now for the pictures so you know what to look for. The Dragon Back series by: Timothy Zahn
