~*~ Perhaps we should have special days where everyone who is a contributor writes a post on here about a book that they are currently reading, whether or not they have finished it? What do you think of that? Comment on the Notice board post about any thoughts that you may have. This will have to be worked out in further detail. Any and many suggestions are welcome!
~*~ If you have any favorite books or book series that are not included in the "Favorite Books" box on the right hand side, please let me know and I will add them.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

(FOR THE MONTHLY BOOK REVIEWS)

I LOVE this book! That really sums it up. I love the manners, the language, the clothing and the time period. I love how a gentleman would stand every time a lady would enter the room. I love how a ball was the advent of the month and how you would ride in a carriage instead of a Honda. It was such a simpler time. But I'm rambling now, so I guess I should talk about the book now. That's what this is about, right? lol

The story is about Elizathen Bennet and her four sisters, her mother, her father and two gentleman who will change there lives forever. Mr. Bingly, a handsome young gentleman, comes to live in the country near the Bennet family. Soon he falls in love with Jane Bennet, the oldest and most prettiest of all the sisters. But his friend, Mr. Darcy, may put a end to that. For Mr. Darcy seems a cold, proud man who looks down at everyone, especially Elizabeth. But despite social differences and fortune, they find themselves in a place that neither one thought could be possible. (This is a romance, so it's kind of obvious. lol) It is such a pleasure to read, I love it when I have nothing to do and I grab my copy and go snuggle up in a chair and start to read. It's almost magical. There are also two movies of P&P that I love as well. There is one from 1995 with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle and one from 2005 with Matthew MacFadyen and Keira Knightley. I enjoyed this review so much! I love Pride and Prejudice! It is one of my favorite books! I love both the movies, too, especially the A&E version. I agree with Clarice, you stated perfectly why it is such a well-loved classic!
